Tasting at Erik's, can
Black colour. Chocolatey, moderately sweet, seemingly thin for that ABV. Decent beer.

Dark brown, mostly coffeeish aroma. On the palate, toast, roast and I guess I'd say it's a bit sourish towards the finish. I wouldn't call this balanced. Not really working for me.

16 oz. can, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out dark cocoa, graham cracker and cereal malts. Flavour is quite earthy and spicy, with graham crackery, spiciness, and medium roast. Spicy, earthy, bitter finish. Incompetent beer.

355ml bottle. Murky, darkest brown colou rwith average to huge, thick, frothy moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige head. Citrusy, zesty, slightly grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, grapefruit, a touch of lemongrass, lime, lime zest, roasty and slightly chocolately, dark malty background; hop concentration developes a mustard and pepper effect. Taste is extremely hoppy, immensely bitter, grassy and citrusy, slightly zesty notes of lemon, lemongrass, lime, hints of grapefruit, grass, fresh hay with a floral touch, some peppercress and white pepper, mustard; proportionately rather neglectable, roasty, chocolately, dark malty basis. Oily-watery texture, biting palate. Tremendous hop intensity with biting, peppery effect. Impressive.
