Bottle. Almost clear in the glass, golden in color and with a small, white head. Weak but pleasant aroma with grass, hay, yeast hints, a generic fruityness, some yellow apples and a touch of pale malts. The flavor is pretty much the same, with a nice bitterness added. Rather dry on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Grass, yellow apples, some straw and grass and a vague yeast note in the finish. A refreshing and quite pleasant one that drinks easy. 170107

330ml bottle, batch 54, 6.6 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Patchy, beige head over a cloudy dark brown body added by a shade of orange. Spotty lacing. Restrained aroma of dark bread, slightly roasted. Nicely roasted dark malty flavours, hints of liquorice, bread and dark caramel. Roasted malt bitter ending with a delicate touch of pine needles. Medium bodied. Likable Yuletide feel (Tromsø 02.01.2017).

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry grainy, weeds, minerals, vanilla, roasted grain, caramel, chocolate, hay, grass, toast, dark malts. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, bark, roasted grain, hay, burnt toast, harsh vanilla, grass, paper, cocoa, spices. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and burnt mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Fra flaske på Maritim Ølsmaking ombord på Fridtjofen des-16 (i så hyggelig sselskap at nesten alle ølene smakte riktig godt!): klar mahognyfarge med ok skum. Nokså beskjeden aroma men heldigvis mer smak, malt, karamell, sjokoladekjeks, hint av appelsin.
