Description
Established in 2011, Mumbles Brewery has dedicated itself to producing quality real ales with a local flavour. That ‘local flavour’ comes from the beautiful Swansea in Wales. Their beers are only available in pubs throughout South Wales and Bristol, that is one of many reasons we chose them to be included in our boxes. We wanted you to be able to enjoy these excellent beers no matter where you are in the country. The Brewery started making real ale in 2013 in the Pilot Inn, Mumbles. A range of unique ales are brewed with local flavour.

Old rating - A 500ml bottle collected from the brewery earlier this year. Just approaching it's best before date. Pours a dark brown with no carbonation or head. Tastes bad, some richness & some bitterness, with no life in the body. Struggled to drink, disappointing as I had been looking forward to this. Very poor.

Bottle from Wales Ales. Murky dark reddish colour with moderate sized off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, berries, caramel, brown bread. Taste of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, berry tang, very bitter herbal finish. Medium to full bodied. A bit of a murky mix up of flavour but I quite liked the fruitiness and herbal bitter aspect. [#27 Welsh brewery, #5 Dunkler Bock]
