Light unclear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, wood, rasted, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171011]

Sampled @ 27th Egham Beer Festival 2017. A clear orange brown beer with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of ripe banana, caramel and clove. Taste of caramel, dark malt, mild roasted malt, banana.

Cask at the 28th Ealing Beer Festival. Pours hazy mid brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of yeast, hop, fruit and malt. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness, light sour, touch salty. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

Cask at the 28th Ealing Beer Festival. Pours hazy golden amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of yeast, sweet malt, hop and citrus. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness, touch of sour. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish is dry, fruity and yeasty. Nice.

Bottle from Drunk Dry, Kidlington, Oxon, consumed at home cooking Chorizo and Crayfish Macaroni Cheese, Wednesday 24th May 2017 Pours a reddy pink with a white head with a touch of light pink. The wheatiness makes me think of summer (it’s a lovely day today). There is lots of raspberry here, when we purchased this we spoke to Chris the brewery so we know that there is an obscene amount of raspberries in this brew. This is a lovely fruity wheat beer with a nice little tang. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle from the brewer’s own stall at Whitney Food Festival. Dark brown with a thin beige head. Smooth, rich mouthfeel. Chocolate, a little plum, touch of sweetness. Nice enough, easy to drink, maybe a little forgettable compared to some of the brewer’s other beers that I tried. But yeah, not bad.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stall at Whitney Food Festival. Murky amber-pink with a white head and a light fizz in a thinnish body for the abv. Pleasant enough fresh raspberry whiff; the taste is milder raspberry with a short, slightly sharp and sour finish. It’s ok as fruit beers go, and it’s quite refreshing, but a bit of a letdown compared to the brewer’s excellent wit and BIPA I’d tried previously.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stall at Whitney Food Festival. The brewer was very enthusiastic and friendly, and I ended up getting a few beers from him. They all come wrapped in paper with the description on, rather than the more conventional glued-on label, as it’s more environmentally-friendly not to use glue. This also makes the bottles look quite striking! This, the first one I tried, was the murkiest of ambers in hue, with a negligible white head. But the smell and flavour more than make up for the looks - really fresh herbs throughout, great freshly picked garden herbs rather than the absinthey flavour you get in some herbal beers. This is balanced against mellow orange in the finish. It’s a tasty, vibrant, refreshing brew. I’m not the biggest fan of wheat beers normally, but I really enjoyed this one. Great first beer from a new brewer, and fortunately I’ve got some more of his to try.
