Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, caramel, notes, moderate hoppy, citrus, light grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, citrus, fruity, fresh. Cask at the George, London. Clear garnet pour, light film. Nutty malts and dried cranberry on the nose. This is like driking trail mix or something. In the flavor are tons of pecans, light almonds, more dried fruit especially cranberry, but not enough sugar, unfortunately. Light in body with fine carbonation. Has a nice finish, faintly sweet with nuts and mild dryness, along with very modest plastic and some dry toast. Alright, interesting.

Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/1/11. Copper red with a decent off-white head that left rings down the glass. Redcurrant fruit aroma with a hint of toffee and toastiness. Flavour was sweetish, with some cocoa and caramel before a moderately bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2011. Deep brown with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of dark fruit and liquorice with a touch of roasted malt. Sweetish malt flavour, with coffee, chocolate and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Cask, Bow Bar. Bright amber. Very toasty, earthy aroma. Incredibly toasty - like breadcrust, fresh from a wood oven, still glowing practically. Not the most balanced beer, but I really like the character.
