Unclear medium yellow orange colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, rye - oat, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, citrus, grapefruit, light resin. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, resin, pine, citrus, grapefruit, rye - oat - wheat, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171011]

Cask at the Boathouse, Wylam. Pours golden with a small creamy white head leaving good lacing. Aroma of hop, fruit, floral notes. Moderate sweetness, towards heavy bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and creamy texture, soft carbonation. Fruity bitter finish.

Cask the the Peterborough beer Festival 2017. A mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is jammy citrus, wood, orange marmalade,, sticky sweet malts. Flavour is composed of earthy honey malts, nutty, grassy citrus, orange rind, straw. Palate is semi sweet, sticky hop, moderate carbonation, light grains. Not bad hoppy gold.

Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, sweet malt, hoppy, perfume - soapy - lemon, dusty hops. 500ml bottle from the Fat Mermaid, Amble. Pours hazy yellow with some frankly horrendous black floaters going on. They stay in suspension all the way down, looks grim. Thin white head, whose persistence drags the appearance up to a 2, marginally. The aromas and flavour are better though, bursting with tropical fruit and citrus. Clean finish. Shame it looked so bad.

Cask at the 29th Chappel Beer Festival. Poured amber to copper with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, hop, biscuit, fruit, malt. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

On cask @ Cloisters. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - wood, flowers, custard, maybe boozy smoke. Taste - a very faint reflection of what was found on the nose. Palate - light to medium bodied. The middle section is creamy and a bit boozy. The finish, could be cleaner. Overall - ok if a bit muddled.
