Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - electric blue to turquoise, big foamy pastel blue head. Nose - blueberry, plums and raspberry with a confected edge. Taste - mainly blueberry and some plum, and again something confected. Palate - medium bodied, sour and sweet at the same time. Decent linger. Overall - not my usual thing but not bad actually.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - pale yellow and clear. Foamy white head. Nose - bitter green plant stalks, ashes, with some peach and orange eventually emerging. Taste - still a green resinous astringency, then a little orange. Palate - light bodied, a bit astringent. Overall - definitely not one of their best. Lacks fruit.

29/9/2023. Can shared at The Arbor House, Ipswich. Pours black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is Sorachi Ace dominated, very waxy, soapy, citrus, tropical fruit, pine, roasted malts, burnt toffee. Moderate sweetness and heavy bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Good. Enjoyable but very bitter.
