Description
Kinver Brewery is an award-winning, family owned, independent craft microbrewery located near Kinver Edge and the rock houses on the outskirts of Kinver, South Staffordshire. Kinver Brewery use only four ingredients: malted barley, hops, yeast, and water, to produce cask and bottle-conditioned ales. All of our beers are available as vegan, on request. Our hops are sourced from a range of locations including Worcestershire, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia, and USA. We are a SIBA-assured independent craft brewery, recognised by multiple prestigious awards.

Gravicask, 4.7 % abv, at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival 2022, Marquee Bar. Shared with Finn. Misty golden body, naked at the surface, rings of lace down the glass. Grassy hops and a citric scent on the nose. Green hops, grass, and moments of citrus to the taste profile. Mid-dry fruity ending. Straightforward. (Nottingham 13.10.2022).

Cask at Hop & Scotch, Kings Heath, Birmingham. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light perfume. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, smooth, malt, medicinal, perfume, light woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. This won’t be to everyone’s taste!

Third of a gravity dispensed pint at the Kidderminster Beer Festival on 6th November 2021. White head on a golden body, hop bitter from start to finish and pretty dry tasting. Not a lot of malts were used in the kettle!

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton. Pours a hazy pale straw with a small white head. Not much can be detected in the nose – just some faint floral hops. Watery and sweet in the mouth. Initially difficult to detect anything else, but eventually some floral hops come through, together with sourdough bread and traces of apples. Finish is quite dry. All in all, reminiscent of dishwater !

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton. Pours a pale gold with a small white head and good lacing. The aroma is slight, but what there is includes straw and malts. In the mouth is is sweet and watery with traces of lemon. But there is also an acrid undertone similar to cleaning fluid. Some bitterness in the finish. Veers between innocuous and unpleasant !
