Established in 2016 in Elsdon, the heart of Northumberland. The First & Last is an award winning, family-run, microbrewery. We brew small batch cask-conditioned and bottled beer. Our beers are inspired by the wild, untamed landscape and starry skies of Northumberland.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Near clear orange gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Thin and semi dry palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, pretty thin, grainy. Watery citrus hops, a light cooling pine. Light dry finish. Thin, dry and watery flavours. Lame.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 30/06/2025.
Hazed orange with a just off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is orange zest, grass, melon, papaya, mandarin.
Taste comprises tangerine, citric tinged straw, grass, grapefruit, melon, papaya, light mineral bite.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow juicy come grassy hop bitterness.
Okay IPA if a little stuck in 3rd gear.

Hazed orange topped with an off white cap that retains.
Nose is melon, papaya, pineapple, hint of mango.
Taste comprises mixed tropicana, grass, pineapple, papaya.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow juicy hop bitterness.
Okay sessioner.

Can on the 1523 Newcastle to Carlisle, picked up from the Wobbly Ale Ways, 15/05/2025.
Clear golden with a just off white cap that thins to spotting.
Nose is pale malts, cereals, grass, lemon nip, herb.
Taste comprises lemon rind, hedgerow, light breads, toasted grains, straw.
Medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Tidy enough pils.
