Hand pulled pint in The Bull, Birmingham on 30th June 2026. Slight haze in the dull golden body, white head. Not a lot going on to be honest, some mild hop action over a weak malty base, all a bit bland really. Helped to wash down my fish, chips and mushy peas!

Keg at The Turk's Head, Leeds. Opaque amber. Thicckk foamy white head. Aroma is relatively low key - grains and lightest hint of resin. Flavourwise it's certainly resinous but not overpoweringly so. We also have some soft citrus and spice. Underlying nothingness (I started typing so I finished.) Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy if lazily so carbonation. Perhaps served to cold and thus dulled but this was a restrained overly polite Westie.

Cask at The Turks Head, Leeds. Opaque dark amber. Thick foamy white head. Aroma has chewy grains and malts with a sour streak. Flavourwise it has a sour streak with popping herbal edge over a granary. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable bitter.

Tap Out 3 Times Beer#11. Visited three new Taps today, left them behind to try this deeper golden coloured brew, hoppy, struggling for flavour, relents into a bitterness.

Teesside Beery Day Out Beer#19. Second bonus in Leeds changing trains tipple. Clear golden coloured brew, with a frothy head. A stated lager with a hop-malt balance, it's fine, but nothing groundbreaking here.

The current Duke Of Marlborough is soon to appear in court defending Intentional Strangulation charges against him! This Marlborough is not controversial, a hazy blonde session coloured ale. It's easy, hoppy, a hint of sweetness, which is tropical notes in the background, and a hint of dryness about it too.
