Cask @ Record Café, Bradford. Fine textured brown coloured porter. Not particularly stated in this respect but a mild dark malt sweetness is very appealing. Light-brown head.

Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Mid- to dark gold, clear with a medium sized white head and a good bit of lacing. Malt notes, digestives, toast. Sweet in the taste with mild fruit bitterness and a sulphurous touch. Gentle body, good carbonation for cask. Sparkler maybe, which would suit this beer. Good stuff.

Draught at Sheffield Tap, half-pint shared with Finn. Upper part lacing on the glass from a fair off-white head, coal black in the glass. Roasted chocolate malts on the nose, earthy, promising. Well balanced taste of prunes and dark chocolate malts. Roasted ending with moments of coffee-chocolate. Medium bodied. A nice one. (Sheffield, 25.03.2024).

Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 15th March 2024. Pale gold with shallow off-white foam and spot lacing. Fruity aroma. Dessert fruits in-mouth, and a finish of sweet berries, light lemony citrus and a hint of dairy. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at The Colmore, Birmingham. Pours black with beige foam. Aroma: light roast, oats, caramel, treacle. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, towards dry on the palate. Medium body with soft carbonation.
