Description
Inspired by the Wiltshire landscape surrounding us, we work towards being the most sustainable brewery that we can be. Most importantly, when we began and with the right tools in our hands, we knew that we could create a mighty fine pint. A small team then set about with a vision for handcrafting ales from plough to pint. Using barley from our fields and chalk-filtered water from our own source, we’re bigger and bolder than we were then, but with the same knowledge that nothing quite beats the taste of a decidedly good pint after a long day.

[on draught at the Lyndhurst Ale House, Reading] 4.1% ABV when I tried this. Pours an amber-brown with a good, lasting creamy head. Intense floral hop aroma. Soft creamy mouthfeel, with spring flowers in the intial taste. Flavour mellows into a soft earthiness - feels like you’ve drunk an entire flowerbed from the top down! Quite unusual, but very enjoyable and easy to drink. Becomes a little bland in the aftertaste but otherwise a top-notch Spring/Summer beer.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Attractive amber colour with lasting dark beigehead. Slightly coffee caramel aroma and flavour. Good nick. Fullish in mouth with raisins/sultana fruit mixing with fullish malts and slight creamy coffee to give a fruit cake feel. Very good deep full bitter. Decent hoppy sting on finish. Not really my style, but I still give it a good score for the flavour.

Medium offwhite coarse head does not last. Hazy yellow body. Light delicate floral resiny aroma with honey and malts notes. Balanced and very harmonic. Dry-sweet resiny honeyish taste with earthy pale malts notes. Soft, mild, dusty mouthfeel. Dry dusty floral aftertaste. Nice! (0.25l cask, St. Urho’s pub.)

Cask@Kittys (fastest caskchange & linewashing I’ve seen). Amber colour, mediumsized beige creamy head. Aroma is wood, mild sweet matls and a bit sourness. Flavour is wooden, quite nutty and dry erathyness. Aftertaste has some mild fruityness too. Really pleasant bitter.
