Description
The New Old Lompoc opened on May 6th, 2000. But the Old Lompoc Brewery (as it was formerly know) has been producing handcrafted ales and lagers since December 1996, while the tavern has been open since 1993.
The name originally came from the movie ‘The Bank Dick’ starring W.C. Fields and Mae West. Most of the movie took place in the ‘Old Lompoc House’, which was the local watering hole as well as a boarding house.
Our food menu is an excellent array of Northwest pub fare with a great selection of entrees, soups and salads. We have also remodeled the patio and added a sun deck.

Tap at OBF as EleventyOne CDA. Pours dark dark brown with a foamy beige head. Aromas of chocolate cookie and ginger? citrus? Med body. Flavor is citrus, chocolate, dark malt. Goes a bit earthy in a fairly bitter and dry finish.

Bomber from Albertsons. Pours a mostly clear dark reddish copper color with a small white head. A light caramel and fruity nose. The flavor is bitter, green, fruity, light caramel. Pretty mellow really. Malty balance but defined by green raw hops. OK.

Deep dark brown body with a touch of an oily tan head that fades fast. Aroma of raisins, pit fruits, alcohol, oak and a lot of malty depth. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavours with hints of caramel and toffee, but a strong alcohol and pit fruit flavour persists throughout. Aftertaste shows a relatively strong pit fruit and caramelised sugar flavour with a hint of the malt and earth, but this one shys away from most of that. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 29-April-2013 for US$6.02 sampled at home in Washington on 14-June-2013.

Sample from firkin at the 6th Annual Rogue Firkin Fest at Green Dragon. Copper-colored with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, citrus and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours amber with a frothy white head. Aroma is heavy earthy/spicy. Med body. Flavor is earthy/spicy. There’s some caramel backbone. Finishes hoppy and bitter, tho the bitter does not burn. Good drink.
