Probably not representative to the Peru brewing culture, this beer is practically no different than half the other macro pale lagers I’ve had from across the globe. Grass, skunk, and water. Not much else.

Light golden color, very fluffy foam...sour yeasty aroma...very light..is this beer flavored water??...refreshing aye??....this beer can be chugged with no un-pleasant aftertaste...chug it to get it out of your face!

Thanks to Beer_Hawk for bringing this one back form Peru to share at the Nashville tasting. Pours a dark garnet that throws up a fleeting tan head. Roasty dry aroma. Malt and hops are evident. The palate is smooth and medium bodied and delivers a malty, well balanced flavor profile. Quite decent, even if I thought it wasn’t absolutely to style.

12 oz. bottle from Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove. Despite my feeling about the Heinie-wannabes of countries without beer traditions, I’ll try ’em anyway, just to pop the cap on a new land. Now listing this as a Dortmunder means I could hold this to a higher standard than the usual pale lager… Somewhat hoppy smell at first, but then a bit of corn sugar. Head rises short, then dwindles quickly. Usual pale yellow color. I thinkthere’s a bit of Dortmunder character, but perhaps it’s just because I’m looking for it there. Taste is relatively clean, a slight touch of pilsner malt. But again, accompanied by corn adjunct. Specific bitterness hard to find. I didn’t expect much, and that’s what I got.

Bottle picked up in Sainsburys. In honour of this years world cup I am trying to eat and drink what some of the participating countries favourite food and tipples are. Poland against Ecuador started with a shot of Vodka but unfortunately I couldn’t get a Ecuadorian drink so Peruvian was the nearest I could get. This poured golden, had very little aroma and even less taste, bit fizzy and a bit drab, the Vodka by comparison was excellent unlike Poland who lost 2-0.

Pour is a sickly looking yellow with a white foamy head. Aroma is soapy and sticky. Flavor is nothing just a lot of fizz in your mouth. Was not expecting much and that how i would classify this beer.

Pour is a very light yellow with a small white head. Aroma has a slight burnt quality but nothing else shows up after that. Flavor is also very light with hints of grain and corn. Nothing really great but on the other hand this tastes and smells like nothing so you could prob drink alot of this in Peru.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Maize mainly in flavour and aroma. Hops also present in flavour. Pretty standard watery lager...

A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is next to non existing, but there are very faint notes of malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw, leading to a dry end. The mouthfeel is very carbonated and watery.
