Description
At Kinnegar we pair brewing tradition with a contemporary sense of adventure to produce clean, crisp, full-flavoured farmhouse beers. The brewery is named after the nearby Kinnegar Beach
just north of Rathmullan in County Donegal.

Our roots are deeply embedded in the hilly fields and farms of northeast Donegal. This is the perfect environment for the way we make beer. We don’t filter or pasteurise, and we let our industrious little friends, the yeast, carbonate the beer naturally during fermentation.

With the opening of K2, our new state-of-the-art facility in nearby Letterkenny in March 2017, the clinking of bottles coming off our line no longer mingles with the bleating of sheep from the surrounding fields. The farmhouse ethos at the core of what we do however remains the same.

Hazy dark gold beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous, decent fine minerally carbonation. Malts are rich and very slightly grainy, light creamy sweetness. Ripe orange and lesser orange peel hops. Very modest pine. smooth finish. Quiet a rich and ripe IPA, quite old school. Drinkable nonetheless.

Bottle shared at chriso and Ruth's pre GBBF tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has some zesty lime, hay. Light sweet flavour with notes of dried dough, some lactic bite, more lime, lemon, restrained spicy ginger. Light bodied with average carbonation. Tangy finish, with some lingering ginger spice. Interesting.

clear Gold amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and finally minerally crisp. Light malts, some creamy sweetness and also some milky sweetness. Light piney hop and skunky candied orange peel. Trace of tangerine. Light finish, it's ok but the milky sweetness starts to grind.

Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, has a mild crispness. Thin malts, mild to medium sweet. Nice ripe orange and marmalade. Light pine and mellow skunk. A little ripe lemon. Touch of hop spice in the semi dry finish. Mild citric peel bitter linger. Clean and drinkable, just needs more hop muscle.
