Description
Our mission is pretty much monomaniacal: to brew f*cking good beer. We call it craft-y beer because the owl's got a sharp, uncompromised tongue and a penchant for mischief.

On a typical day we toy with the familiar – unfiltered lager, silky hefeweizen and puckery American IPA, anyone? – but at night we explore the crafty beer extremes from our medieval watering hole Haarlem (That's Haarlem with two 'a's, the Dutch one, and the namesake of New York's single-'a'ed Harlem).

Really truly, our idea of fun is abusing the rauchbeer-Scotch ale-sour beer-oak-aged Imperial Stout-Barley wine clichés. The first rule of owl school: when using hops think in wheelbarrows and not buckets.

So enjoy us, drink us and by all means hop fans abuse us right back – ideally via our social media channels where we announce our very active new creations.

Iets troebele diepgouden kleur en een kleine, gebroken witte kraag. Geur van karamel, mout (karamelmout), iets zoetig, iets fruitig. Smaak is licht zoetig. Licht body. Ook lekker.

Troebele bleekgele kleur en een zepige witte kraag. Geur is vooral citrusschil, veel citrus. Smaak is lichtjes citruszurig en bitterig. Licht body. Iets droge, bitterige tot bittere afdronk. Zeer plezierig.

Can. Black with a cm of tan head. Aroma of mocha - more chocolate than coffee - roast, brioche. Roast and some hops emphasize bitter chocolate and make it seem less sweet than it probably is. No tricks but polished.

Donkerbruin toto bijna zwart bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter met veel zwarte koffie, wat geroosterd brood, bittere chocolade en een heel klein beetje anijs. Heel erg goed.

Can at home shared by Laura. Yellow golden color, quote dense white head. Aroma is floral, yeasty, wheat and slightly some spices. Coriander probably? Flavor is similar: nicely soft wheat and floral with a slight sweetness. Quite nice. I like this one.

Sweet and lightly toasted malty with notes of caramel, marmalade shred, some orange and pine notes coming through, medium body, piney hoppy into the close. Nice one, the world needs more Red IPAs.

hazy golden with a fluffy ehite head. Tropical fruit aroma. Sweet taste with a low bitter finish. Not bad but utterly forgettable.

44cl Blik van AH. Ook deze heeft een 'Special Edition' lintje langs de zijkant van het etiket lopen, maar bij mijn weten is dit de enige variant. Peacharine, Nectaron, Sabro. Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. Sabro is goed aanwezig, fruitig, bubblegum, zoete steenvruchten, niet al te bitter, daar had wat meer van gemogen, verder degelijk maar vrij vlak. Medium body, licht boozy.
