Cask @ Salopian, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy deep brown, small off-white head. Aroma throws out some spice, coffee, chocolate. Taste is super spicy and medicinal, herbal with coffee dregs. Harsh and unlikeable.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Hazy golden with a small head. Light with its peach, but its taste is evident. It’s hoppy in its nose with a slightly watery texture.

33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A hazy dark chestnut colour with a fast fading cream head; spicy coffee aroma; thin body with a sweet coffee taste; and a dry spicy finish, although it seems more cinnamon than anise to me.
