Bottle. Pitch black with a small, dense, tan head. Strong aroma dark malt, roast, vanilla, dry fruit, dark chocolate and warming Bourbon alcohol. Flavor is sweet, dark malt with the same flavors as found in aroma, fine warming alcohol and a spicy touch in aftertaste. Fine body with a long lasting aftertaste. Solid.

Still really like this, tons of chocolate and hazelnut, hints of barrel make it out, maybe still my favorite cycle beer.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with almost no head. Aroma is loaded with dry roasted hazelnuts, big bourbon barrels, and a touch of banana. Flavour is remarkably complex and rich, with rich roasted hazelnuts, gentle banana, and wonderful bourbon barrels that bring it all together. I’m always weary of banana in stouts, but this works wonderfully well. Love the hazelnut character, which seems to dry things out a bit. Not too sweet at all. Beauty.

22oz bottle. Pours dark brown. Tons of hazelnut and banana on the nose. Flavour has a lot of dry hazelnut, a pleasant banana component, and a very nice bourbon barrel bringing it all together.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Viscous black, no head. Aroma of homemade chocolate sauce, some bourbon. Sweet with full body and viscous mouthfeel. Pretty much like drinking bourbon barrel aged homemade chocolate sauce made from very expensive ingredients. Typical Cycle style bling bling.

Bottle shared with others. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a nice roasted malts with a rich bourbon and some sweet dark grains supporting. Flavor has strong roast and bourbon combination with some dark chocolate with some oak underlying.
