Growler from the brewery, shared the same day up in Old Forge. Pours clear brown with a tan cream head. The aroma has moderate roasted malts, toasty brown bread. Light to medium sweet, with some dried berries and leather, more brown bread, soft cocoa. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Great balance in the finish, with more cocoa and hints of earth. Outstanding.

Growler from the brewery, opened same day in Old Forge. Pours clear yellow with a white cream head. Clean biscuits in the nose, with light hay as well. Light sweet flavour, super clean, with mild grassy bitterness, dry biscuits, hay. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, moderately dry, with more pale bread, straw. Not sure I've had a better helles.

Keg a tight the brewery. Pours lightly hazy golden-yellow with a tight, frothy white head. Nice dry citrus in the nose, a bit of zest, pale biscuit. Light sweet flavour with lovely pithy lemon, pine needles, rindy bitterness, dry pale bread. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Super clean finish, with nicely balanced bitterness, more pithy citrus and pine, understated pale bread sweetness. Excellent.

750 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a hazy, bright gold with lace. Nose is immediately farmyard, lemon, lactic acid, cream and vanilla. Flavor is nicely tart and funky, not hugely sour. Lemon, orange, hay, coriander, lemon verbena and lemongrass, some apple and Asian pear. Great balance, definitely not your typical wit, as it is pure farmhouse. Dig it. Light, mellow malts with a bit of cracker.

Thanks Brennan for sharing the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing lightly cloudy whitish yellow with sparse white foam. The nose shows sweet, moderately intense notes of lemon, lime, dry forest floor and farmhouse. The palate is highly carbonated and light bodied. Moderately tart with a farmhouse background, with moderately intense, clean and fruit forward flavours of pear, lime, and lemon.
