Can from Ondernulpuntvijf. Aroma is orange and a little pine, hop, some roasted malt. Light sweetish and moderate to medium bitter. Light body. Not bad.

On tap at Walhalla brewpub, Amsterdam, Saturday 10th January 2026, after a treacherous walk from the Buiksloterweg boat mooring and then Lowlander and then Oedipus. Pours pitch black with a tan head, sticky but bloody marvellous, liquorice, sticky burnt toffee, thick in the mouth, there's a little creaminess but smokiness comes through albeit not huge. Lovely, beer of the weekend. Score 8.3

On tap at Boot 122 brewpub, Utrecht Friday 9th January 2026, after a long wet walk from the hotel via De Kromme Harring (not open until 4pm, schoolboy error 😐) then into town, we visited Eetcafé de Poort first, then DeRat then a walk out of town to Oproer brewpub. Pours clear gold with a white head. Nice fresh crisp IPA, dry finish, there is a little bit of sweetness but it's fruity and dry, nice. Score 7.1

Can shared thanks to sjogro. Clear deep amber. Alcohol, roasted malts, chestnuts, bitter hops, caramel, burnt fruits. Quite roasted and bitter, with lots of dark sugar and some alcohol. Over medium sweet and bitter. Oily body.

Can at home, 29th December 2025. Pours a clearish orange. Aroma is citrus and a little tart, taste is slightly tangy and sour, citrus and grapefruit- I didn’t mind the sourness, but not sure it was intended

Can at home. A bit cloudy pale yellow golden color, average sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, wheat, slightly yeasty, somewhat hoppy, a bit dusty fruity hoppy. Decent body and carbonation. Okay.

Draught @Cafe Gijs, Amsterdam. Hazy pale amber colour, fair frothy white head, dissipating slowly, light lacing. Subdued aroma, pale malt, orange, lemon grass, piney hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, pine resin, orange, lychee, some grapefruit. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, very nice.
