0.33 l bottle from ’Drankenspeciaalzaak van Haastregt/Lamers’, best before February 2018. Clear, very dark brownish red with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, nuts and some coffee. Rather sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, coffee, hazelnut and some licorice, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, quite dry and slightly resiny finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Really nice, a bit dull maybe, but the relatively high abv doesn’t really add that much to it.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with huge, foamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral hoppy and fruity yeasty aroma, notes of nectarine, unripe peach, a waxy touch. Taste is bone dry, fruity yeasty, notes of nectarine, some peach, red and yellow apple, waxy hints of fruit parings; peppery spicy yeasty finish. A bit rugged and harsh.

Bottle @ home shared with Marte. Black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, some peat, a bit sweet surprisingly and some liquorice. Well, I don’t dislike this actually, even though it has some peat in it. Not bad at all.

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear yellowish color, average sized a bit bubbly white head that lasts for a short while. Aroma is citrussy hoppy initially. A tad weird, lightly grassy. Taste wheat, grassy, slightly sharp citrus, an underlying hint of slightly unfresh hops, I don’t know a better way to describe it. That underlying flavor suggests it could get some buttery flavors soon. Fortunately, not yet present though. Body is average, carbonation is average to decent. Overall, hmm, I’m not a big fan.
