This 22 oz bomber of Vantablack was found at Susan's in Santa Fe, one of a number of New Mexico brewed beers purchased there this past week. It needs to be said that the label indicates an abv of 10.8%. I have my New Belgium snifter positioned to receive the brew and see a quite viscous, jet black body completed by a steady if small light tan head of fine foam. The scent is chocolate, grain and berries which I find a bit understated. A drink now, well, the taste improves mightily on the nose. Bakers chocolate, wheat bread, strawberries, dark fruit, vanilla, a touch of char and just a bit of sweetness to go with the decent bitterness. Rather good, I hope to put my hands on another bottle my next trip to New Mexico.
