330ml bottle from a local Home Bargains store, annoyingly BBE February 2023, as I bought it in March! Anyway this is a live tasting and review, it's being poured into an old Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass at home with a packet of Quavers on 7th March 2023, a week out of date. Clean and clear golden body, white bubbles on top. Malty aroma and taste although it also holds a hop bitter feel as well. Not great, but nothing wrong with it really either, heads gone already though.

Keg at Paul Pry, Worcester. What the fresh hell is this? I was counting on an Italian rate but I guess Greater Manchester will have to do. Ominously dark, brassy gold. Full white head. Light caramel aroma with bready notes. Sweet (too sweet really) taste, some bitterness in the finish but this is an almost painfully sweet lager. Light body with medium carbonation. It's okay.

Keg at the Blue anchor Helston. A clear bright fluror pink purple coloured pour with a frothy pink head. Aroma is sweet, jammy berries, light tang, fruit syrup, red berry. Flavour is composed of ribema, fruit cordial, sweet and tangy,. I know I'm not supposed of like this, but it went down really well on this, a warm summers day . Palate is semi sweet, sticky highish carbonation. Good fun.

On tap at Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe. Pours almost black with minimal cream head. Not much aroma at all – just some traces of burnt toffee and roasted malts. In the mouth it is sweet and very watery . Flavour is dandelion and burdock and malts with a little cough mixture. Slightly fruity in the finish. Bland and insipid – if McDonalds made stout …

Half-pint, keg, shared with Finn at Borough Arms. Filmy layer, misty golden body, fair lacing. Floral nose, citric hints. Taste of citrus including orange, joined by grainy malts. Modest fruity bitter end. Accepted. (Crewe 26.01.2020).
