A dense light tan head over a dark mahogany body. A big sweet nose with toffee, booze, dark berries and hops. If you like big sweet and fruity BWs, this one is for you. Dark molasses, crème brule, prunes, dark berries and fruity hops. A touch of oak and vanilla fill out the taste profile. A rich, creamy mouth feel. Stupendous.

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, full sized fizzy beige to light brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, sweetness, very odd cake notes. Flavor is similarly odd. Lightly malts, sweetness, odd, cake, candy, vanilla. Very weird mix, very sweet. Rum BA in there? Guess so but the flavor and aroma is so all over the place imo, that I'm confused. Too sweet for me. Drinkable, but not my kind of beer tbh.

(Draft at Biererei, Berlin, 14 July 2025) Black colour with creamy brown head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, espresso, soy sauce, bourbon and oak wood. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, sweet espresso, liquorice, soy sauce, bourbon, vanilla, oak wood and a balanced cacao bitterness. Full body, sweet. On the sweet and boozy side, but really rich and tasty, with a generous bourbon touch. Very nice.

Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a mellow rising boost.
Tidy easy drinking pastry affair.

Bottle shared by Joen, thanks! Opaque black color, small beige to light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, bourbon. Flavor is malts, heavy bourbon, dark malts, sweet bourbon and oak notes, coffee, soy sauce, soft bitterness. Old school. Absolutely amazing. I love it.
Unfortunately quite thin body, boozy, bitter and roasty. Lots of bourbon, dark chocolate, dry barrel. Still rich and not too rough, very nice.
Sweetish, smooth and slick with loads of soft oaky bourbon, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate and hints of molasses. Soft and quite balanced, a bit thin body but tasty nevertheless.

Near clear deep amber brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Airy smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied dark malts, candyish dark chocolate and coffee, fair dose of vanilla. Pretty cakey overall! The rum barrelling is just about spot on, brings the ripe brown sugar soaked ripe fruits in good balance to the other elements. Airy smooth finish leaves a mild alcohol spice linger. Good pastry by old stalwarts Central Waters. Bravo!
