2/4/2019. Gift from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours slightly hazy pale amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of resin, toffee, malt, tropical and dried fruits, light herbs and peppery spices. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium to full body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Rich, piney finish. Good one this.

330ml bottle @ Duque Brewpub, Lisbon. Pours black with thinning tan head. Aroma has dark malts, liquorice. Oily on the palate, gentle body with fairly low carbonation. Rich liquorice and dark malt provide the general character, lighter body than expected, drinks nicely, fairly easy-going for the strength and straightforward with little complexity. Not bad at all.
