(Bottle) Pale golden and clear. Small white head. Mild grassy aroma. Light bodied palate with medium carbonation. Lightly malts, grass, freshness, fruitiness, grain and ligjt bitterness in taste. Grain and light bitterness in aftertaste.

(Bottle) Amber and clear. Small, white and fizzy head. Malts, hops and grass in aroma. Medium bodied and dryish palate with quite high carbonation. Malts, caramell, grass, bitterness and lightly sweetness in taste. Malty and lightly bitter aftertaste.

22 oz bottle shared by JB. Pour is slight haze yellow golden with a smallish white head. Aroma of apricot, slightly earthy, soft honey sweetness, some grainy maltiness. Fresh and engaging. Taste is grain wheat, sweet apricot fruit and mild honey. Less integrated and complex in taste then I was expecting from the nose. Palate is medium, mid to low carbonation, the finish is long - grainy and semi-sweet. Nice, quite drinkable. I will certainly buy more of this when it is available locally. Bottle 355ml. @ home.Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, spicy ! coriander, light alcoholic. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, and a alcoholic burn in the finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090604]

@Noogfest High5-22oz bottle-pours a white ring for a head and hazy amber color. Aroma is light malt, fruit-sour, yeast. Taste is light malt, fruit-sour, yeast, puckering.

Bottle from The Cave. Amber colour, off-whtie head. Nose of malts, caramel, some hops. Flavour is fairly hoppy and bitter, with some malts. Nice one.

Draught sample at AleFest Columbus (06/27/09): The beer pours black with a medium thin light brown head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Chocolate and roasted malt in the nose along with some hops. Full body with a dry and roasty character. Flavors of chocolate, coffee and hops, along with some sweet malt in the background. The finish is roasted malt with a mildly bitter dark chocolate and coffee aftertaste. Good overall, and I actually liked this a little more than Bourbon County.
