Description
Goose Island Beer Company began as a single brewpub opened in 1988 by John Hall. By 1995, John’s beer had become so popular that he decided to open a larger brewery, along with a bottling plant to keep up with demand. 1999 brought even more growth, along with an additional brewpub, and today, what was once one man’s pint-filled dream has become the Goose Island empire you know and love.

in 2011, Goose Island Beer Company was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Since then, we’ve continued to brew beer that we’re proud of and now we get to share these beers with our friends both nationwide and internationally.

bottle - Pours amber with a moderate head. Some lightly roasted malts and the hops make for a nice aroma. The flavor is well balanced with a dry, hoppy finish and the palate is medium bodied. It’s not bad at all. It’s a good session brew, though be aware that the flavor is a bit different for the classification of American pale ale. I thought it tasted much more like an ESB than a typical APA.

Pours murky orange with a tall dense head of off-white. Spicy citrus & yeast aroma. The flavor has an acidic fruit tartness that is well supported by a malt sweetness. There is a touch of dryness that fully develops in the finish. Not quite as complex as some of the true Belgians, but this was tasty. Thanks to Dough77 for this.

Thanks to Dough77 for ths. Reddish-hued, medium-brown body that makes a small, but persistent, creamy tan head of tight bubbles. Sweet, fruity, complex aroma. Fresh yeast. Smoothly delivered flavor that follows the aroma. Just enough bittering in the finish to balance the sweetness. Not bad.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is hops and malts with some corriander in there. Flavor is wonderful. Full hops with some rich malts and the right amount of spices. Leaves a sour lemon and clove taste on the tounge as the liquid goes down. Very tasty and a rewarding beer experience. Goose Island is making some really great brew.

Pour is a hazy amber with a nice sized white head. Aroma is excellent, lots of candy sugar and spices. Flavor is very fruity and spicey. Maybe a touch of cinnamon that reminds me of a pumpkin beer. As i drink more i get some clove and pepper. Overall this is a wonderful beer expierience. A very tasty brew from goose island.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours black and opaque with a pretty much absent head. Distinct aromas of oak and bourbon. Rather full-bodied with plenty of sweet, roasted malt. All the burned malty accents are pretty much hidden underneath the sweetish bourbon notes. Lightly bitter malt finish. 030606
