Description
Goose Island Beer Company began as a single brewpub opened in 1988 by John Hall. By 1995, John’s beer had become so popular that he decided to open a larger brewery, along with a bottling plant to keep up with demand. 1999 brought even more growth, along with an additional brewpub, and today, what was once one man’s pint-filled dream has become the Goose Island empire you know and love.

in 2011, Goose Island Beer Company was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Since then, we’ve continued to brew beer that we’re proud of and now we get to share these beers with our friends both nationwide and internationally.

Probably the cheapest beer available in Whole Foods - and it’s damn good. Lovely light, golden brown color. Medium head. Smooth, balanced flavor. Not very pale by my estimation, but very tasty. I’ll buy this one again.

Several bottles thanks to belgiumtripel. Bottle is a 008 with an 11/7/2008 and batch 0755. Pours with a small, off0white head over a clearish, pretty ruby-amber body. Aroma of Belgian yeast, wheat, alcohol, chocolate, dark fruits. Taste is wheat, chocolate, cinnamon, some alcohol, tootsie roll, bread, alcohol, estery and tons more. Got another four pack thanks to this trade; I feel that age will help this a lot. Medium carbonation with a dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a light golden with a white head bubbly head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is sweet with lots of yeast notes with banana coming out. There is also some other light fruits and a bit of citrus hops. Flavor is quite sweet with fruits, particularly banana, with not too many hops.
