Description
The Wild Beer Co was born in 2012 out of a love of fermentation, barrel-ageing and most importantly, flavour. We believe exceptional brewing stems from imagination and passion. Our beers are brewed using modern creative techniques and ingredients while producing some of the world’s oldest beer styles guaranteed to give you a memorable drinking experience.
Curious bought Wild Beer Co out of administration in a deal that involved the beer brands and intellectual property of Wild Beer Co, but not its Somerset-based brewery production facilities. The Curious and Wild Beer Co businesses were transfered into the hands of St Peter’s in 2023.

Can from Lidl. Clear pale gold with small white top. Sweet aroma with citrus, funk and pine. Taste of pale malts with hint of biscuit, citric sharpness and passionfruit. Light bodied even for the strength, fine to mid-carbonation, semi-drying. Decent but doesn't stand out for me

Can from Waitrose. Hazy dark gold with small white top, modest retention. Aroma of passionfruit, gooseberry, some citrus and light flora; nice. Flavours of orange, melon, gooseberry, grass. Quite juicy but with a bitter grassy element in the finish; very nice. Near medium bodied and manages to be refreshing but still have enough bite. Good.

Can from Morrisons. Hazy gold with fluffy almost off-white head. Aroma of lime, mango, pineapple, pale malts. Taste has a nice soft fruit medley, mostly tropical in note and with coconut hints. Lovely soft mouthfeel, slick, very fine carbonation, modest bitter crispness. Very tasty - best ISA I've had this year.

Can from lowcostbeer.com, consumed 3 months past BBE. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a small white top. Light tropical aroma. Taste is tropical almost tutti-frutti like with a certain creaminess, some pine. Light to medium bodied, fine carbonation. Good

Can from lowcostbeer.com, consumed 3 months past BBE. Semi-hazy gold with big foamy white top. Grapefruit and waxed zesty aroma with a hint of flora. Quite a bold grapefruit and citrus zest with grains, zesty to earthy bitterness, some pine, quite drying. Medium bodied. It grew on me a lot as the palate got used to it. Nice to have some hops in a flavoured pale.

Can from lowcostbeer. Hazy gold with small white head. Fruity aroma of candied citrus, pink grapefruit, lemon juice. Taste of pink grapefruit, lemon and orange zest, spice, light funk, mild sharp and bitter citrus notes. Light to medium bodied, fairly soft mouthfeel. Nice balance to this, very fruity, enjoyable.

Can from Beer52 in their Scandinavian box although this one seems to be brewed in and labelled Wild Beer, Somerset! Dark mahogany with small beige head and decent retention. Aroma of citrus, overripe mango, hop spice, light roasted malt. Taste of lime, orange, sherbet, mango upfront. Finish has a light crispness, spice and some of the dark malt is noticeable but it could do with more oomph. Nice near medium body/soft mouthfeel does give it a sessionable quality. Overall its good.
