Description
Siren Craft Brew exists to encourage more people to enjoy, fall for and experiment with craft beer. The Sirens of Greek mythology would entice mariners with their magical songs. Their voices would entwine into a complex, layered melody. At Siren Craft Brew, we work in a similar way, combining four ingredients that interact together in magical ways to create our ales. Each beer is individual, overflowing with flavour, aroma and texture. Each holds its own secret. Each is a little dangerous. Liquid Mistress, Under Current, Sound Wave and Broken Dream are here to tease, sway and persuade. They gently beckon you to a new world of taste. Let yourself be carried away. Be enticed…

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy pale straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head; weak tropical fruit aroma; soft and flabby in the mouth with some tropical fruit and a dull bitterness that’s rather depressing. I certainly wouldn’t want this all day long.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A straw coloured pour with a slight haze and a rim of white froth; lightly resinous aroma; smooth and oily in the mouth with a piney bitterness and some warmth in the throat; and a gentle piney finish. Not earth shattering, but pleasantly drinkable.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A slightly hazed pale straw pour with a white rim; lemon aroma; crisp lemony taste, but rather thin; then a crisp and dry finish. Rather lack lustre.

Fairly drinkable overall. Smooth but muted flavours. Minimal roast, a little toasted pine, semi-ripe citrus, nip of grape, oily rind. Easygoing.

I do like Siren and I did so want to really like this. But its got a weird cloying sweetness to it that I just don't dig. Great pour and colour, but the taste ain't great.

Keg at The White Hart, Chobham. Hazy-opaque gold. Thick foamy white head. Aroma has citrus and stone fruit over sweet porridge. Flavourwise it's pleasent but low key - light sour citrus and sherbert. Gets tarter. Light sweet juice hints in the depths. Underlying dry malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation is a tad lazy. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice if not overly exciting.
