Kingstone Brewery is a four barrel micro brewery located in Tintern, in the heart of the Wye Valley. Our real ales are adapted from traditional recipes to suit modern pallets. From hearty IPA’s to quaffable bitters and golden hoppy ales. We offer a beer for every occasion.
We here at Kingstone are unwilling to compromise on the traditional brewing process, therefore we choose to hand brew, and hand bottle our ales using traditional ingredients. Our beers are unfiltered, unpasteurised and bottle conditioned to develop a fuller flavour, finer bubble and more subtle texture!

(bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour without head. Moderately sweet malty and fruity, slightly floral and woody hoppy aroma. Quite bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry and soft malty taste with an aromatic hops character with fruity and woody, also slightly floral accents; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish. Balanced and quaffable stuff. 28.IV.10

Bottle from Oakchurch Farm Shop, Staunton on Wye, Herefordshire, purchased and consumed 21-03-10 Pours dark amber brown in colour touch murky following a careless pour, thin white head. Quite earhty and rustic but unlike the other raters I thought there was a good body and malty backbone considering the low abv, some light citrus, not bad, in fact quite enjoyable. Cloudy amber with a disappearing white head. Weak but nice fruity and floral aroma. Dry and wooden flavour with fruity notes and a nice hint of brett. Intended or not, it worked for me.

Cask on 25th September 2009. Brown/amber with smoth thin white head, holding up well under brisk consumption. A pleasant malt backdrop paved the way for a sharp, hoppy burst that is perfectly balanced by the malt. The hop was grassy, not citric, and cheesy notes were detected. A long, ticklingly hoppy finish on a textured mouthfeel. A very pleasant surprise and one of the best beers I had drunk in the fortnight ending 25th Sept 2009.
