Description
Welcome to Battledown Brewing Co. a Cotswold based, family run brewery making world class craft beer, lager and ale. We have been brewing for 15 years, but in 2020 had a brand new brew kit installed which has allowed us to create an amazing new selection of beers. Take a look below and get to know both our Cotswold and Heritage range.

Closed at the end of 2023 when founder Roland Elliot-Berry retired after 18 years of running the brewery. His children, who run Sibling Gin Distillery sought a new owner but none was found.

330ml bottle from my Cheltenham visit, pours bright golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of cereal, fruit, grain, caramel & malt. Medium body. Dry light bitter finish.

500ml bottle from Bath Road Beers, Cheltenham. Pours golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of orange, lemon, flora, cereal, grass, grain, honey & malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish

Bottle from Gloucester Services, Gloucestershire. Golden with a small head. Has a pleasant bottle conditioned texture with hoppy and caramelised taste. The latter is available in aroma too.

Bottled. Hazy pale amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is hay, grains, some bready tones with mild wooden and herbal tones. Flavour is grainy, some hay, mild wooden and some resiny tones with a nice lingering mellow bitterness in the finish.

Bottled. Very deep coppery brown colour with a mediumsized foamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, berries, coffee and some mild wooden notes. Flavour is ripe fruits, chocolate, some toasted and mild coffee tones. Quite sweet overall, but still smooth and nice sipper.

Cask. Deep golden colour with a mediumsized foamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is yeast, some honey, sweet bready notes and mild floral and fruits as well. Flavour is fruity, floral, some bready sweet malts along with a wee bit of herbs and honey to it. Smooth.

Cask. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grains, some fruity and herbal notes with mild nectar. Flavour is grains, some fruits, mild grass, herbs and some floral notes. Quaffable and somewhat dry palate.
