Description
Welcome to Battledown Brewing Co. a Cotswold based, family run brewery making world class craft beer, lager and ale. We have been brewing for 15 years, but in 2020 had a brand new brew kit installed which has allowed us to create an amazing new selection of beers. Take a look below and get to know both our Cotswold and Heritage range.
Closed at the end of 2023 when founder Roland Elliot-Berry retired after 18 years of running the brewery. His children, who run Sibling Gin Distillery sought a new owner but none was found.

Bottle from Secretts, Milford. Aroma is rich - malty with a berry edge. Actiuly its doughy, rye sour bread. Clear light chestnut. Thin microbubbled translucent white head. Malty aroma - again rich with a healthy fruity dollop. Sweet malty. A tad sickly actually. Tangy berries. And that's not the only sourness. Underlying boiled veg remnants. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Alright. Had a stressful week so any booze will suffice.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 21. Thanks Jeremy for blessing us with this offering. Admirable milk stout with mirage-like lactose given there's no milk, mild roast, light to medium bodied. Fairly simplistic and thin flavoured, but fine overall.

Fun Boy Five: 22nd November 2021, Beer Share in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Five guys splitting beers. 500ml bottle brought by me: BB January 2022. Dark bodied, wispy tanned head. It was OK, without setting my senses on fire; a decent Milk Stout, even though there is no 'lactose' in the beer.
