Established in 2004

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet and very malty as well as strong notes of caramel and medium notes of pumpernickle bread. The flavor is sweet malty with a slight underlying acidity on which is notes of pumpernicle bread and caramel, leading to a dry and lightly roasted finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottled (thanks jbrus!). Hazy golden colour, small head. Aroma is yeasty, slightly acidic fruity, and quite earthy. Flavour is wheat, quite rich on the citrus fruits with a slight touch of earthyness and yeastyness. Quite watery. Acidicness reminds more of a witbier than a weizen.

Bottle. Distinct liquorice aroma, sweet, syrupy and roasted. Muddy dark red brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is very roasted with a good woody smoke note. Flavourful, but well-balanced.

Cloudy dark amber, disappearing off-white head. Sugary aroma with some fig and prune and a little spice (coriander, nutmeg, anise). Dryish spicy flavour with a lot of munich-like malt. A little alcohol is noticed and the spicy aftertaste is rather pleasant.

Draught at Bokbierfestival 2008. Cloudy dark brown colour. Big stable creamy brown head. The flavour starts off roasted, turns fruity and rye bready. Quite spicy and well-balanced.

Bottle picked up at Bachanalia, Cambridge, 11-10-08 Pours light golden with haziness. Nose is typically yeasty, malty and fruity, the strength is apparent but not pushy, its fine. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.4 Had this again Bottle at Cafe Derat, Utrecht, Netherlands 01.03.12 Gold in colour with a white head. This is instantly likeable if a touch sweet. Some corny flavours, a good bitterness bites through, even a touch of sweet nuts. Soft in mouth, alcohol noticeable, but good beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5
