Description

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Pale orange, amber color, good cloudy head, some lace. Strong aroma of fudge - is it diacetyl? Usually Mommeriete beers are clean. Some fudge also in the flavor, mainly it is dominated by grassy hoppy and alcoholic flavors. Good malty backbone. Finish is fizzy, flavors fade away except some bitterness.

Bottled. Hazy golden colour, mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma is fudge, some fruits and mild hints of caramel malts. Flavour is caramel malts, some grassy hops, mild earth and fudge. Some herbal notes also. Wellbalanced. Alcohol shows slightly as a burning feeling in the throat. Quite different bock.

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Muddy brown color, good beige head. Sour, tart herbal-vegetably aroma, infected? Vegetably, sweetish, nutty, spicey (ginger) with weird tartness. Sourish aftertaste. Infected or bottle gone bad?

Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival 2007 afterfestival at Per’s
Cloudy blond color. A very spicy sample, luckily with some sweetness, so it’s absolutely not dry. A bit homebrew style, but very good.

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Dark hazy cherry-orange red color, steady small white head. Niose is not very strong, there is some sweetness with sourness, exotic fruits and caramel. Light palate, a bit caramelly and sour, some yeasty notes. Light caramel in the aftertaste. Usually amber ales don’t impress, this either.

Bottled (BB 07/2007)
Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Hazy amber color, small white head. Grainy, a bit fruity and sour nose. A bit sourish palate. There is lychee and banana in the flavor plus lime fruits. Is it as fresh also like this?. Now it was quite acidic, maybe off a bit.

Bottle, courtesy of yespr. Hazy, orange-golden beer with a nice, beige head. Sweetish, fruity aroma with malt and some caramel. The flavor has a slightly sour note, but the main impression is sweet and fruity. Medium, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Feels like the brewers are aiming well, but then slip a bit. Still quite drinkable. Rating: 5-3-5-3-10-2.6. (071005)

Bottle, shared by Maria. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a small, off-white head. Malty aroma with a touch of butterscotch, some fruityness and a little yeasty in the background. Sweet and fruity flavor with some roasted malt and a caramel. A little sourish touch in the finish. Medium body. Drinkable indeed, but a bit ordinary. (080412)

Bottled. Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is smoked wood, leather and some mild sugary notes along with herbs. Flavour is really tarry (like the Finnish candy "Tervaleijona"). Also some wood and caramel. Aftertaste is tar and smoke from wet wood. Pleasant smoked.
