Description

Bottle. Citric fruit aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Slightly sparkling. Small white head. Good flavour, citric and fruity like the aroma. Also sweet malt, fried sweet fruits, yeast and pepper. Good mouthfeel. Flavourful and well-balanced.

Bottle, courtesy of bierkoning! Thanks Edo! Pours a slightly cloudy brownish-red with voluminous head. Aroma of canned peaches. Taste is very sweet with notes of honey and more peaches. Very effervescent.

Bottle, 7%. Buttery, fresh hop aroma. Hazy orange colour. Nice and big stable white head. The flavour also has a little butter, but not in a bad way. Good bitterness, nice and cleansing. Slightly sweet and quite malty. Fine touch of grassy aroma hops. Very nice mouthfeel and perfect carbonation.

Buttle, courtesy of bierkoning. Thanks! Pours a burgundy color with medium tan head. Aroma of acidic dark fruits. Tastes almost like a porter. Coffee and roasty flavors. Not bad.

Bottle, courtesy of bierkoning. Particles can be seen floating in this beer after days at rest. Pours pineapple juice colored with thin head. Decent lacing. Aroma of pineapple juice. Hmm. Is the aroma psychologically affecting my perception of the color or vice versa? Very fruity taste, more pineapple (do I have a craving?), grapefruit, bubble gum (in a good way). A tiny little bitty hint of rye at the very end.

2007 750 mL bottle (I guess that should be 75 cL). Thank you bierkoning! Pours a hazy peach color with quickly dissipating but very large head. Strong flowery and citrusy aroma. Taste is very bitter up front with some maltiness showing up at the end. The description below of quinine is spot-on. This is interesting, different, and though I like it, a whole bottle this large might be quite the undertaking.

Bottle, 5.5%. Very dusty aroma, like a sort of diacetyl. Hazy orange colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is also a little dusty with a hint of tartness. OK bitterness, though a little sourish. Late cleansing bitterness along with some yeast notes. High carbonation. Quite a strange beer, this.

Bottle, 10%. Weak malt aroma with a little citric fruit. Cloudy dark brown colour, slightly red. Small stable light brown head. The flavour starts roasted and turns very yeasty and quite peppery. Also with quite sweet malt syrup notes. The alcohol is warming and gives it a nice finish, but much too yeasty and with a strange malt sweetness.

Bottle, 5.3%. 1 month past BB date. Rough vegetable aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Small white head. The flavour is citric with a distinct white wine/champagne sourness/tartness. Sticky maltiness. The tartness gives a metallic feel on the tongue.
