Description
We, as The Sisters Brewery, are a team of two sisters, Annamijn and Josefien, along with our father, Wilfran Beijeman. Together we have a great passion for brewing strong craft beers and to combine them with art. We like to say that we create an artwork out of the inside and outside of every bottle. For the perfect end result, we work together with (mainly female) artists. With our labels, we like to represent the human being in all it's various ways, and in it's purest form. By making a combination between traditional recipes and our own modern view, we create an authentic taste and atmosphere. The authenticity of our beers is not only evident in our recipes and flavours, but can also be found in the labels and names of our beers. Each beer that The Sisters Brewery offers includes its own philosophy, story and high standards. Our aim is to deliver a piece of art with every beer produced. The inspiration for the names of our beers come from our surname; Beijeman, which means Beekeeper in Dutch. All the names of our beers have something to do with bees and beekeeping. This focus on bees can also be found in our main logo.

Draft at Uiltje bar. Clear amber with a small cream head. Aroma of dull malt, caramel, citrus and some grassy hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A strange hoppy barley wine.

Tap. Orange color with small white head. Aroma is oranges, a bit yeasty, bubblegum. Taste is more oranges, breadcrust, a bit earthy. The booziness is quite restrained. Well-balanced.

Tap. Deep golden color with white head. Aroma is sweetish fruits, fresh belgian yeasts, some sweetish malts, hints of apple vinegar. Taste is sweet fruits, some toasted malts, phenolic, boozy finish. Medium to high carbonation. Not bad, but not exactly what I think of when I read Imperial Saison.

Tap. Aroma is smoked ham, umami. Taste is more smoked ham, umami, quite sweet. Low carbonation. Not bad, a real umami treat though. A bit one-dimensional.

Tap. Orange-golden color with white head. Aroma is tangerines, orange. Taste is more of the same, grassy, with quite a mineralic and tart dead-yeasty finish. Again: Not enough time for the keg to settle the yeasts? High but fine-bubbled carbonation. Ok.

Tap. Dark brown-amber color with tan head. Aroma is fresh, dark malts, chocolate, sweetish fruity hops. Taste is sweet fruits, chocolate, and a mineralic finish. High foamy carbonation. Too much yeast (was the keg not allowed to settle down? After all, it’s on a festival). Ok.

Tap at The Munich craft beer festival, 5.1%. Milky yellow, white head. Yeasty, light citric aroma. Bready, minerally yeasty, citric, dry, spicy. Probably a bit cleaner if the beer gets a rest, as it is it tastes like a slightly muddled spicy Franconian hefeweizen.

Tap. Cloudy brown, brown lace. Yeasty mineral, roast, light off notes - did not like the transport to Munich? Medium light dry body. Alright
