Dark brown, the wine and bourbon are both hitting on the nose, depth on vinous character. Good body, juicy and tannic but also a stout, lively, great balance.

Dark brown, lots of red fruit, slight toffee. On the palate, more of that fruitiness. Almost cidery, in a good way. Chocolate, medium smoothness barrel. Good stuff.

Slight haze, pale amber. The nose has a little cedar the palate a lot more. Clean and sweetish lemony hop. Different structure than cedar-aged Jai Alai but I’m glad someone else is playing with this idea because that was underrated stuff.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of bourbon barrels, dark roast, and some of the nocino then comes out. Flavour has plenty of the nocino barrels upfront, followed by subdued bourbon, and molasses. Dominated by the nocino predominantly, with the bourbon and oak accentuating nicely. Very good blend.

Beer is a contest urging drinkers to guess the contents. I tasted a swirl of different malts, pilsner, rye and oat, and a bunch of hops. A brewer fooling around beer. There is NO bear poop in this.
