Loads of biscuity malt and nice, rounded hop bitterness..

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is a bit smoky, cocoa, bourbon, vanilla, earth. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter. Full body, molasses.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Mistig lichtgouden kleur, witte kraag. Citrus, limoen, licht moutig, licht bloemig, hint van dennen, degelijk bitter. Lichte body. Prima zomerbier.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small beige head. Aroma has tons of brandy barrels, followed by bourbon barrels, lactose, and vanilla. Flavour is very rich, with lots of lactose, bready and bourbon, followed by plenty of vanilla beans. The lactose I could do with out, as it adds a weird sweetness to it. Good barrel character and of course good base beer. Very good as usual.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma has a real nice blend of bourbon barrels and tea, vanilla beans, and some molasses. Flavour is complex and rich, with a wonderful expression of bourbon barrels, black tea, and vanilla beans. Really strong base beer that is expressed beautifully by the barrels and accentuated tastefully by the tea.

Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, nectary and some mild peachy and sweet malty tones. Flavour is floral, nectary and some mild sweet malty tones to it. Easy going.

0.355l can. Aroma of wheat, citrus, flowers, coriander and leather. Pours clear golden color with thin creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet grainy with refreshing citrus note, following is yeasty and herbal, mouthfeel is quite smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Break on through to the white side…

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Nose has caramel malt, bready malt, some toffee, not much hops. Flavour is dry and malty, with bready malt, some toffee, and toasted caramel. Not much hops compared to the other volumes. Good but shy of excellent.

Bottle. Not one of my favourite styles but this one is really good. Pale, gold color that’s hazy. Giant long lasting head. Aroma had hints of grains, bread and slight hints of nutty hay. Taste was extremely well balanced.
