Pint can. Pineapple aroma with notes of mango, papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, orange and floral hops. Pours hazy golden colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with juicy pineapple, mango, orange and tangerine flavors. Finishes smooth but a touch dry with papaya, floral hop and grapefruit flavors. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue, a tiny beige head that goes down. A huge nose, plum, whiskey, vanilla. Heavy sweet bourbon, vanilla, light heat, layers of brandy. Damn, this is so good. Wood, sweet throughout but not cloying. Lovely.

Bottle. These BA Breakside beers are always amazing. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium creamy brown head. A big bourbon and raspberry nose. Rich, layers of vanilla, bourbon, I get sweet berries, woody char, caramel. Big hot whiskey. Super smooth.

Bottled. Black-brown with no head. Nose is caramel and chocolate, soy sauce, grapes and berries. Sweet and silky with rich chocolate and berry notes.

16 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark pinkish red with a small white head. Nose is complex and yet easy, with plenty of wild yeast, oak batter, gentle tart cherries, and hay. Flavour is gentle yet complex, with hay, tart cherries (low acidity), some oak, nice mixed bugginess, and maybe a touch of THP (minor Cheerios character coming in at the end). The higher ABV is not at all detectable. No harsh edges whatsoever. This is surprisingly well-constructed, despite perhaps the slight THP.

Holprig , fruchtig in der Nase, Pinien. Im Trunk ebenso, mittig etwas wässrig, der starke Antrunk geht verloren, Schade. Hinten wieder stärker, eigenartiger Verlauf. Trotzdem gut trinkbar.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich, with big bourbon barrels, maple syrup, and some smoked meat. Flavour is drier than expected, with strong bourbon barrels, light maple syrup, and a touch of smokiness. I want a little more residual here to combat the dryness from the bourbon. Well-made though.

The description of this beer is quite impressive..... Murky, muddy, copper pour with a medium beige head. The aroma is an absolute Bourbon barrel bomb. Huge Bourbon notes, wood, hints of vanilla and very earthy, slightly sweet pine resin hops with some toffee and caramel. Big, viscous mouth feels with a more lively than expected carb. The finish is medium bitter with a strong soapy pine character. Toffee and caramel are very present, with a gigantic Bourbon barrel finish. It’s good, but it’s a barrel bomb and an acquired taste.
