[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy peaty brown pour with a thick cream head; malty aroma; smooth in, sweet and syrupy in the mouth with a hint of chocolate; then developing a gentle bitterness from charred grains; with lingering chocolate syrup to finish. Very different to the bitter version with the malts much less obvious.’

On tap at Brothers in Law Taphouse, Utrecht, Saturday 10th January 2026, after a treacherous walk around Nord Amsterdam from Buiksloterweg boat mooring and then Lowlander and then Oedipus and Walhalla, but now back in Utrecht and here. Hazy mid gold with a white head. Nice soft mouthfeel, wow this is very easy drinking for the abv however you do know that it has a kick. Some sweetness, overipe fruits, there's a little orange. Good. Score 7.4

Hazy light gold with a white head. Streaky bitterness but it's very good, light resinous touches, dry finish. Score 7.5
