Description
The Hop Shed is an award winning brewery based on a hop farm in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. We set up the brewery in a converted chicken shed here on the farm. This inspired the name of our brand and beers, which are all named after breeds of chickens.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured am orange brown with a off white/tan head. Aroma is light dark fruit, chocolate, sweet malts. Taste is malty, light chocolate, earthy.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a hazy orange with frothy white head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, zesty. Taste is citrus bold fruitiness, some malt backbone.

21/5/2020. Bottle as Frizzle Worcestershire IPA, 5.0% abv from Crumpton Hill Farm Shop. Pours clear pale golden amber with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma of leafy hops, flowers, citrus, touch of buttery caramel and grass. Moderate sweetness and towards medium bitterness. Moderate body. Quite a nice hoppy malty bittersweet finish. It's not bad.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured an amber with bubbly white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, caramel. Taste a bitterness forward with some malty, toffee, caramel balance.

1/5/2020. Bottle from Crumpton Hill Farm Shop. Pours pale amber with a foamy/creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, caramel, biscuit and fruit. Moderate sweetness, with a sharp tangy bitterness initially. Slightly oily and watery with average carbonation. Finishes sweet and caramel/bready. For it's low abv it's ok.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival, 7/2/2020. Deep amber in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. An easy drinking mild, with a touch of red berry sweetness, caramel and ripe malts, leading to a gentle finish. Good.

Cask at the Seven Stars, Stourbridge. Pours light gold with a small head. Aroma is sweet straw and icing sugar. Taste has grainy straw with an acrid toast finish.

ABV: 5.2%. Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, caramel, sweet malt, dark fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a long duration, dark malt, fruity malt, sweet malt, dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. ABV: 4.2%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, grain, light grass. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, pale malt, sweet malt, grain notes, light grass. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20191102]

10/2/2020. Cask at the Crown, Worcester. Pours hazelnut brown with an off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark plummy fruit, chocolate, sweet coffee, caramel, nut and touch of liquorice. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness with a slight tart edge. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Pretty good.
