12/4/2025. Can bought at The Brewers Tap, Southsea. Pours close to black with a frothy beige head. Aroma is toasted, maple, nutty, biscuity, caramac, dried fruits, soreen malt loaf. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, moderately sour. Medium body, a little thinner than expected, quite lively. Quite muddled and oddly sour.

Keg at Brewers Tap, Southsea. Rich espresso aroma with some maltiness. Dark. Cola tint. Opaque. Creamy beige head retreats quickly. Wow - full on coffee bitterness and accompanying sour berries. Finish gets quite vinous. Medium bodied. Creamy. Long astringent finish. Certainly a coffee stout. Can't complain about a lack of coffee. A big big beer. But it made think of trips to Finland... being used to weak British coffee I get stomach ache after a few days of the Finnish brew.
