Bottle at Chris_o’s Magic Night. Ruby black. Thin tan head. It’s still a bit TCP and too much on the Islay whisky motif for me.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a little head. Light roasted malt aroma. Flavour is roasted malty with a light chocolate smoothness. But the flavour is immediately taken over by a strange bitter hoppy flavour, slight herbal. Ends mild bitterness with a distinct BrewDog note.

On gravity at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 2/11/07. Tried as part of the HPS’s beer festival, This was amber with no head. Aroma of orange and red fruit with plenty of citrus hops. The flavour had some biscuit malt before a very long bitter finish. very good.

From bottle, thanks to Theis. Pours deep black with almost no head. Smooth chocolate malty aroma. Flavour is smooth chocolate and with a slight alcohol note. It decends slowly into a smooth dark chocolate and roasted malt finish. The far finish holds some nice dried fruity accents.

Pours black with a off white bubbly head & fairly good lacings. Aroma is of roasted malts (coffee), light smoke, oak & vanilla. Incredibly smooth palate - velvet silky soft & filling. Light sweet & salty flavor. Sticky lips. The whisky notes are very mild & pleasant. Only light warmth. Very well balanced!

Bottle. Pale lager with a light head. The aroma is complex, fruity, warming, roasted and lightly dry. The flavour is quite bitter with a fruity and hopped feel. Overall a reasonable beer.

Bottle: Clear gold with a off white bubbly head. Strong aroma of hops - piney, flowery, peach, grapefruit & orange. Flavor has warmth & a good amount of bitter hops. Reminds me of something in between Wintercoat Double hop & Mikkellers Hop Juice. Body is light thin - not much malty balance though its also sweet & sticky .Lasting bitter end! Slightly disappointed!

Bottle at home with Fukito... Deep black ... smokey little iodine in nose ... very iodine again in flavour some smokey roast malts ... not as harsh or as burnt smokey as islay 01

Bottle at home with Fukito ... side by side with batch 02 ... deep red black ... slightly smokey rich fruity malt ... rich deep fruity malt .... good roast but not burnt in background ... whiskey spirit is more present here than in 02 and while this is not rough it does have an edge, Bottle at home ... at the Brewdog vintage tasting ... soft light roast malts ... soft chocolate malt ... dark fruits ... berry fruits nose... dark dark malts .. sweet roast ... light whisky ... really really nice ... soft mellow fruits ... deep berries ... soft roast ... this is great probably better than it was originally 4.0

Sehr hopfiger Geruch, bitter fruchtig, etwas süß. Verspielt süßer Antrunk, deutlich alkoholisch. Unter der Süße bleibtd er Hopfen nicht lange, er steigt rapide an und erreicht im Mittelteil seinen vorläufigen Höhepunkt. Dann aber übernimmt die Süße wieder die Führung. der Hopfen muss sich unterordnen. Es ist ein typischer IPA Mittelteil, würzig und bitter und natürlich hopfig. Trocken hopfig-bitterer Nachgeschmack. Test vom 2.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,8,8,-,9 - 8,68
