Keg at BDSB - London. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. Nice aroma, with dark berries, creamy chocolate. Medium sweet flavour, not cloying, with further smooth cocoa, mellow roast, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry. Medium bodied with average carboantion. Nicely balanced in the finish, with that nice blend of ripening dark berries and rich chocolate. Tasty.

Keg at BD Sheps Boost. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich, juicy, massive jammy berry character, fruit compote, tangy, jam, candy, roasted malt and chocolate cake. The taste is smooth, juicy and fruity upfront, berry, blackcurrant jam, then rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, brownie and tobacco with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Really juicy and nice balance. Great stuff.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours black with small tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, light coffee which doesn’t exactly warn of what’s to follow. Taste is initial roast which soon subsides to let a wave of chili to wash over to the back of the palate, bringing with it some grainy roasted malt and faint cocoa. Quite a fiery heat to this, for a chili-head like myself it’s probably just enough, could be too much for some.
