Beer creates great excitement. It looks simple, but it actually hides many secrets. Every craft beer causes impatience before the tasting and enjoyment when you are revisiting the flavor. Its diversity of taste, aroma, texture and color is huge, sometimes it seems endless.

We consider ourselves to be passionate gourmets. We are searching for new and unusual tastes, while aiming to offer the highest quality craft beers from the selected ingredients, thus we have created Kabinet Brewery. Our beers are produced in Nemenikuće on a sunny slope at a foot of the mountain Kosmaj.

Our wish is that Kabinet Brewery, as a Cabinet of curiosities(*), gathers in one place all the amazing tastes and smells of the beer world that has long inspired us. Welcome to Kabinet Brewery.

(*) The Cabinet of curiosities or wonders– a collection of distinctive, unique items, all that is rare, strange and precious, the finest handicrafts, natural wonders, usually received and gathered from the exotic travel as an examples of the natural, geological, religious, ethnological and artistic value.

Bottled 750ml. -Courtesy of Marko, thanks! Rated after been opened for day and half but caped and stored well. Darker ruby red coloured, small white head, tartish cherries in the nose. Tart cherries and acidic red wine notes but unfortunately barrel character fade away. Easy-drinkable.

Jun. ’15. On tap at "Ima i moze" festival, Mostar. Also a couple of times later, from a bottle. It pours hazy golden to amber body with medium sized head. Aroma was touched with vegetables on fest, an off note which is not usually noted. Weaker fruity hoppy with strong citrus (and melissa - balm mint) component. Flavor was bitter, fine and pleasant, fruity, biscuit malty, also lightly toasted and chalky. Very smooth on palate. Thin to medium bodied with moderate sweetish finish. Interesting combination, a fine and refreshing beer, although a bit light.

Bottled, thanks Marko! Cloudy cherry red, small coarse head. Vanilla, red wine and vinegar up front. Mildly tart with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Rich on balsamic cherries and vanilla, slight lemony tartness. Red wine and oak is prominent. Not a lot of lambic character, instead cherries and oaky wine dominates.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours cloudy amber color with large soapy off-white head, yeast residue and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, ripe mango and melon, grapes and some cat piss, too. Taste starts with light sweet toasted malt, follows by citric acidity, passion fruit and grassy, while finish is quite bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Not bad, but to me rather not so Super, while in Spanish I would say No va...

On tap in Novi Sad-SRB. Cloudy light amber pour, little off-white head. Nose: amber malts, piney hops, topical. Mouth: watery, mild frizzy pepper, not terrific but quite ok.

This was apparently their "secret" special beer for the 2nd NSFZP, where I’ve had it on tap. Misty golden body. Herbal, sharp, slightly tropical in the aroma. Juicy hoppy herbal taste, dry and enjoyable. Very well executed, enjoyable beer.

SAMPLE 100 ml at tasting. Fresh cherry, moderate funky lactic and unripe fruit tartness. A hint of aspirin. Quite decent.

Sample at the 2. NSFZP - grazie Alberto! Red/amber body with a white head. Weak but pleasant aroma, grain and cherry. Light sweet cherry taste, a very light phenolic touch, unimpressive dry finish, just too light. Quite a bit inferior to the barrel-aged version and overall just OK. It did indeed, however, pop the regional cherry when it comes to this style and huge props for that!

From the bottle at 2. NSFZP. Murky red body with a small white head. Aroma... obvious barrel notes, slightly tart, cherry. Er, as expected but pleasant. Soft taste blending sweet and tart notes, cherry and barrel, far more full than the regular turned out to be. This is an excellent attempt at a style that’s tricky to pull off, without any off acetic or excessively funky notes. Great job, Kabinet & White Stork!
