Description
Calvors Brewery was created in 2008 to brew proper English Lagers, without compromise! We have been crafting award-winning beers ever since, becoming known for our distinctive take on the much-celebrated lager styles of Europe. Sure, we're passionate about lager, but we also love a good ale and brew a growing selection of international styles. Calvors beers challenge the flavour and integrity of mass-produced brews and you won't find any of those nasty chemicals or preservatives. We brew by hand using only four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast.

Can from Suffolk Food Hall, Wherstead. Deeper golden with a thin head. Has a deeper tasting hoppiness with some tropical fruitiness evident too in taste. Is slightly more soapier in its nose.

Can from Russell & Newnes, Aldburgh. Deeper golden with a small head. It certainly has a dryness but its hops are fairly tasty too. Definitely a notch or two above a standard lager.

Can from Suffolk Food Hall. Aroma is chock full of malts alongside a moldy airing cupboard thang. Medium gold. Light foamy white head soon recedes. Sour. Citrus sour but also milk sour. Malty. Woody. Cardboard. ... just odd. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. I suspected that this was a rebadge of the Calvors Helles but this is so wrong tasting I would recognise it if I'd ever had it before. To quote the Mrs, It comes out the back of your nose. Urghh.
