Description
Daarin gaan we dan ook weer “all the way”.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, large sample. Slightly hazy copper color, medium off-white head. Aroma of ground coffee, bit earthy, bit spicy, slight caramel. Bit bitter and dry in taste, again spicy coffee. Bit thin bock, but the coffee and caramel gives it extra taste. Ok beer.

Bottle. Dark red, no head. Faint malty aroma. Taste is sweet and alcoholic, with notes of malt and raisin, bit artificial though. Can’t taste the oak. Body is thin, finish too short, abv too high. Bit like cheap red wine.

Bottle. Brown, small head. Really strong aroma of espresso beans. If it wouldn’t have been cold, it would have been hard to know whether it was coffee or beer. The strong coffee is dominant in the taste as well, with some notes of malt and bitters. Gritty mouthfeel. Body is a bit thin and too much carbs.

On tap at PINT BBF’14. Deep reddish brown colour, dense beige head. Looks great. Aroma of pure espresso, ground coffee beans, coffee residue. Flavour is also almost pure coffee, espresso, coffee grinds, light malty, hint of caramel. Light-bodied. OK, but not much bock-ness left.

Another belgian tripel. It’s nice and all, grainy, yeasty and aromaticly hoppy, but I’ve tasted this all before numerous times.

Tastes somewhere in between a belgian witbier and a german weizen. Wheaty and fruity. Body is a bit thin though and the overall taste is quite flat. Too much carbs as well.
