The name Muifelbrouwerij might need some explanation. Muifel is a non-existing word and is derived from Megen and duivel. Megen is a small city in The Netherlands where the brewery started on small scale (20 liter brews) for private consumption. Duivel is Dutch for Devil. Muifel was the name of one of the beers from the early days, inspired by the famous Belgian Duvel beer.

Medium body.

Sweet-ish, dark malty, minimally chocolately and caramel malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some caramel, a touch of rye spiciness, milk chocolate. Taste is sweet-ish, and minimally spicy, dark and caramel malty, notes of malt lozenge, some caramel, a touch of cola, some rye spiciness.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Well balanced, harmonious, nice rye spiciness - enjoyable.

Tap at the brewpub shared with the chefs. Nem keszitettem jegyzeteket, csak pontoztam a sort.

Clear red brown beer, small creamy beige head, a little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: banana, yeasty, some whisky, pretty peated, alcohol, sulphur touch, some esters, hint of bubble gum. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of whisky, bitter, alcohol, very peated, slightly sweet, oxidized, dry, dusty. Aftertaste: more alcohol, caramel, banana, a bit sweet, meh.
