6th beer of the St Albans bus replacement crawl. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, dank, citrus and slightly sweaty hops. Taste is a little thin, but all in all it is good

Hazy paler golden, feeling a little weak but its texture is easy enough. There tropical notes in both aroma and taste. Some bitterness. Supermarket bought.

Can. Light hazed gold with consistent white top. Aroma of grapefruit, lime peel, passionfruit, light earthy background. Taste follows aroma - fruity grapefruit, lime and orange zest with a resinous hop. Light to mid bodied, fine carbonation.

Can from Tesco. Semi-hazed straw pour with decent foamy white head. Spring onion aroma with lime, wheat, some candied citric peel. Taste does have some of that spring onion but there is fruitiness here with grapefruit, lime, light confectionary as well as wheat and a hint of spice. Just about medium bodied but arguably thin for a 6% IPA. Nice but nothing standout for the style.

Can from EeBria. Hazy yellow-gold, small white top. Aroma of mango, peach, citrus zest, herbal notes. Taste is similar and very pleasant but its quite light bodied so a short flavour burst and not much aftertaste. A bit more zing in the carbonation may have helped. Not one of their best.

Can from Beer52. The beer name brought back memories, I've still got The Fall album of the same title in my loft somewhere. Pours a dark brown with nice looking beige top, plenty of lacing. Aroma has a dusty and slight citric hop, light roastiness, chocolate, maybe even a faint berry hint. Taste of caramel, chocolate, roast, citrus, light spice, crisp bitter bite. Medium bodied, smooth. Excellent. I'm really liking this American brown ale style.

Tap at North Taproom: Snowhill, Birmingham. It was nice to see a low alcohol craft beer on tap and this one impressed me. Nice fruity and fragrant hopping with a decent body. Excellent. Look: pale gold, semi-hazy, small white head. Nose: Fragrant, pineapple, passionfruit Taste: as above also some straw Palate: light+ bodied and not watery, nice carbonation to boot.

Can from Asda. Semi hazed dark gold/light amber with nice consistent white top. The aroma is more malty than anything, some biscuit and grain followed by a resinous, earthy hop but an underlying sweetness. Its quite bitter and leafy with some zesty citrus and hints of marmalade and underlying malt in flavour. Medium bodied, zingy carbonation. Its decent but a bit one dimensional and not up to their usual standard.
