On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - brown with some orange glints. Nose - nuts and chocolate. Taste - loads of nuts and chocolate. Praline. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a nice elegant finish. Overall - nice to have a brown ale that is unashamedly a brown ale. It’s not hopped to buggery to disguise it being a brown ale. Good job.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Black body with no head or lacing. Aroma of cigar and espresso. Flavour of ash, coffee and a hint of toasted coconut and black pepper. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. I didn’t get much coconut but this is a tasty beer.

Keg at Inn Deep. It pours hazy orange with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, juicy, mango, apricot, pineapple, candied peel, fruit salad sweets and brioche. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, straw, grass, grapefruit peel, tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, orange peel, pepper and soda with a dry finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Aroma is rather, but it is a touch thin.
